The Blowing Winds
05:44
|
|||
The Blowing winds have come my way, come the hour come the day
Time moves on, waits for no man.
The rising tide of life, this race not yet ran.
Stumbling along
Crashing upon
Dancing alone
In this point in time
Faded memories wash over me ,
Of times that came and went now a foggy mist out at sea.
The passing of time has crept upon
Like a theft in the night stealing time from within and then gone.
Breathing in the air
The silence is here
The dawn of the day
Shedding its light
Breathing in the air
Holding on to where
I have always been
And where I'll always be.
Swallowed in this place whole
Swallowed in this place Whole

The Haunting Song
04:44
|
|||
He wakes at night , trembles with fear.
In the dark he lies as the morning draws near
Outside his window the wind it howls
This night This night
His eyes they gaze in the blackness of night
To the moon shining through
Memories laid bare in the light
He dwells on such worries that cripple him so
Oh this he knows this he knows
When the night comes crying out
When the rain comes pouring down
When you feel lost and haunted from within
From within
His footsteps creak echoed in this sleeping space
The floorboards beneath
The silence encased
In the this tomb he now lingers
For to wither away
This day This day
He hands they shake rumble with pain
Inside he knows such sorrow remains
Resolute he will conquer this plight on his name
This life he'll reclaim, he'll reclaim
When the night comes crying out
When the rain comes pouring down
When you feel lost and haunted from within
From within

The Tenderloin

Falling – into this life of hell you see
Crawling – for it has brought you to your knees
You've been dreaming – of a past of felicity
Abrupt you wake sweat dripping to your feet
A Needle in your arm – you're complicity
How did it come to this
How did it come to this
Talking – riddles in your mind
Seeking – an end that's not in sight
You've been fading – from the man you once had known
Withering away on this dark road
Without a gentle hand to hold
How did it come to this
How did it come to this
How did it come to this
How did it come to this

Forgotten
05:20
|

An old man he stands by the river below
Regretting his life, his spite of time let grow
The snow it falls, upon the frozen ground
The icy stream beneath his withered face
The icy heart within his veins
Such sorrow
Memories he recalls of a past he once knew
Helpless now this man seeped in regret seeped in blue
The frosty wind sweeps across his face
Like water upon a stone
In this bleak winter this abandoned space
This man remains alone
Such sorrow
Too late - time has passed you by
Too late - you stand by the river this night
Haunted - By the life you once had known
Haunted - by the seeds that you have sown
Forgotten in this frozen land of thorns

Memories

Late at night I came upon, A sight I had not seen before
Reflection in the window, of someone I did not know.
Wicked figure in black I see, He grinningly looks back at me
Unearthed by failings, He could not longer ignore
Drawn from the shadows , into a life he needed more.
Trapped inside he knows, Those empty eyes glass will
show
Enclosed in a dream, He forgets for a moment he doesn't seem
to care.
His self esteem blossoms , Or so it seems
But it's just an illusion. A reflection of broken dreams.
Destroyed by memories
Those he cannot forget
Aching misery
Into this life he lets
